Read Foreign-Language Blogs with FeedDemon

You can read foreign-language blogs, news, tweets, etc. in your native language using either Google Reader or FeedDemon – they can automatically translate feeds into your own language

If you want to follow foreign-language blogs, news stories, tweets and other stuff that is not written in your native language, you can subscribe to such feeds inside Google Reader and the service will automatically translate your feeds into a language that you can read or understand.
However, if you are someone like me who prefers using a desktop RSS client over a web-based reader, here’s some good news.

The latest release of FeedDemon (version 3.1) is now integrated with Google Translate so you may translate foreign-language articles into your native language with a simple click. The translation happens inline (watch demo) so you don’t have to open another browser tab to read the translated copy.

I use FeedDemon a lot to track Twitter conversations around some particular topics (“saved searches”) and obviously, these conversation can sometimes include “tweets” that are written in languages other than English. With the new inline translation feature in FeedDemon 3.1, these tweets have suddenly started making sense to me.
Other than language translation, FeedDemon 3.1 includes a useful “content filter” feature that will automatically remove stories from your reading list have contain particular keywords.
